Here to help every step of the way...
The First Meeting
We will be only too pleased to meet with you to discuss your needs and how we can help. To arrange an initial no obligation chat please call us on 01903 234094, or use our contact form. You can come to our offices or if it is more convenient we can visit you.
The Next Steps
At our initial meeting, we will discuss your aims and whether we can help you meet them. If all is well, we'll write to you setting out what we think you have asked us to do together with an estimate of our fees for carrying out the work.
Becoming a Client
If you become a Carpenter Box client we will send you an Engagement Pack which explains what it is we'll do for you, who will be in your team, and also includes our terms of business and fee estimate. As well as being part of our professional code of conduct it is also good practice to formalise our relationship. We'll ask you to sign a copy of the Engagement Letter to show you understand what we've both agreed to.
Who will be looking after me?
All clients have a Carpenter Box Director or Associate as their principle point of contact. In addition the Director or Associate will be supported by a Manager and team. The work will be done at an appropriate level by the person best qualified to undertake the task. From time to time and as your needs require, your Director may also draw on the expertise of colleagues from across the Carpenter Box organisation.
What if I have an accountant already?
You may have outgrown your existing accountant or be looking for someone who is a specialist in your field and who can provide you with more specialist advice. It might be on tax savings, specific sectors or business in general. If this is the case, then Carpenter Box is a great choice. With over 80 staff, Carpenter Box is one of the largest independent accountancy firms in the region, with a diverse range of clients.
We appreciate that the decision to change accountants is not always an easy one. You can be reassured that the move is less daunting than you might think. Our primary concern is to make the switch as easy as possible. The bodies regulating accountants also have a code of conduct so problems are rare.
Part of the process involves us writing to your current accountant, on your behalf, and asking them to provide us with information about your affairs and paperwork. This helps to ensure that the transfer is as seamless and smooth as possible. Ordinarily there is a cost incurred in handing over the information or in us gaining professional clearance to act for you. We'll be happy to discuss this with you.
We look forward to welcoming you to Carpenter Box!
