STAFF PAGE: Bad Weather Advice and Updates
Tuesday 12th March. Light snow showers forecast on top of Monday’s snow. Watch out for icy conditions on roads and pavements and travel in only if it is safe to do so.
If on Tuesday conditions worsen we will consider the position and ensure that staff can get home safely. This may mean releasing staff early where prudent to do so.
2013 Snow & Bad Weather Contingency Plan
If bad weather is forecast with high certainty (and if your Partner agrees) you can take work home with you and work remotely. If this is necessary you will be advised of remote log-in credentials.
Because of the uncertainty of weather forecasts make sure that if you do take files etc they will not be needed by anyone else if in the short term you cannot get into the office.
Please take great care of any files, papers, laptops, memory sticks or other confidential media if you take it out of the office. You are responsible for making sure all confidential data is protected at all times. Do not leave files, laptops etc visible on car seats.
Whilst bad weather conditions prevail, travel into the office only if it is safe to do so. If you have to take time off:
- you can work missed time back over the following couple of weeks
- take annual leave
- take unpaid leave
We will confirm time-sheet treatment as circumstances dictate.
Please keep a check this page where we will post relevant information as circumstances dictate.
