Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation donates £16,500 to local causes and elects new charity partners
Carpenter Box’s own charity, Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation, has donated nearly £16,500 to local charities over the past year.
These include Children on the Edge, based in Chichester, which is running a campaign to provide Ukrainian refugees with accommodation, food and supplies, as well as many other worthy charities, including Turning Tides, MIND and Crawley Open House.
About Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation
The money was raised by the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation, the charitable arm of Carpenter Box and Carpenter Box Financial Advisers. This was set up in 2009 as part of the firm’s ongoing dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR). The aim of the foundation is to support small local charities and community groups through a range of activities. Carpenter Box’s staff, from its offices in Chichester, Worthing, Brighton and Gatwick, also make monthly donations.
What’s more, the foundation has elected to support two new charity partners as primary beneficiaries for this year’s giving.
The first is Safe in Sussex, located in Worthing, which offers assistance to people affected by domestic abuse in West Sussex.
The second is the Cowfold-based Ten Little Toes baby bank, which helps families and parents in crisis or facing difficult circumstances.
What’s next for the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation?
Over the next twelve months, the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation will organise a series of fundraising initiatives, involving the firm, its clients and its staff to raise money for these two noble causes, as well as continue to support local organisations and groups.
Alan Edwards, Managing Partner at Carpenter Box, said:
“As a responsible business, CSR is an integral part of our culture. We actively seek opportunities to give back to the local communities in which we thrive, especially to charities such as Safe in Sussex and Ten Little Toes. Which we hold close to our hearts because of the valuable work they undertake on behalf of our local communities.“
“So, I am truly delighted with the £16,500 we managed to raise last year and challenge our charitable foundation and our staff to smash this figure this year! A big thanks to all who are involved or contributed.”
