Carpenter Box Christmas Carols!
On Wednesday Carpenter Box staff got in the festive spirit with a charity Christmas jumper and carol singing day!
Members of staff donated money to come into the office wearing their most funky Christmas knit, with the person wearing the best jumper being awarded a bottle of bubbly. At the end of the day staff then went outside for ‘Carols in the Car Park’ with warming mince pies and mulled wine. The Salvation Army kindly joined us with their brilliant brass band as we sang (mostly in tune) a range of classic Christmas carols including ‘Away in the Manger’ and ‘Silent Night’.
The total money raised from the day was £300 and is being divided between the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation which supports a variety of local and national charities and the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army does a fantastic job in the local area, helping the homeless and vulnerable at their time in need and with Christmas around the corner, their work is especially important.
Thanks to everyone who joined in with wearing Christmas jumpers and singing and we would like to say thank you once again to the Salvation Army band for taking their time to join us!
