Coast to Capital Business Growth grants – deadline extended!

The Coast to Capital Region Business Growth Grants Programme has launched and they are inviting Expressions of Interest from Small and Medium (SME) sized businesses who are looking to grow and to create new jobs.

C2CCoast to Capital is a Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) with the focus to create economic growth and development in the local region – representing West Sussex, Brighton, Gatwick Diamond, East Surrey, Croydon and Lewis.

Applications for Expressions of Interest have been extended and are now open until 15th October 2016, or earlier if the amount of funding available (£2,457,000) is awarded prior to this date.

Although businesses from all industries are welcome to submit an application, the following sectors have been identified as particular interest to the programme:

  • Advanced Engineering
  • Manufacturing
  • Environmental Technologies, Goods and Services
  • Creative, Digital and IT
  • Healthcare, Medical Technology and Life Sciences

Grants of up to 40% of a total project cost can be provided to applicants that meet the eligibility criteria, are located within the Coast to Capital Region and can demonstrate how the investment will lead to job creation and growth. Grants of between £15,000 and £100,000 will be available to eligible businesses.

Applicants must be able to incur full project costs by 31st March 2017 and the grant can only be used to fund capital items, such as the acquisition, enhancement or creation of capital assets which have a useful life of at least 12 months. This includes machinery, business vehicles, tools and ICT equipment.
