Cyber Essentials Certified
We are pleased to announce that Carpenter Box has received a Certificate of Assurance from Cyber Essentials, confirming our compliance with the requirements of the Cyber Essentials Scheme.
What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a Government backed schemed designed to help businesses and organisations of all sizes to protect themselves against a range of the most common cyber attacks.
- Hacking: exploiting known vulnerabilities in internet-connected devices
- Phishing: tricking users to install or run malicious software
- Password guessing: attempting to log on to a protected system from the internet, either manually or automated
The Cyber Essentials Scheme allows UK organisations to demonstrate publicly their commitment to cyber security by applying for certification.
The IT department at Carpenter Box undertook a self-assessment of our IT infrastructure. In doing so, we were able to verify that our IT systems are suitably secure and met the standards set out by Cyber Essentials and a relevant Certification Body.
We had to meet the requirements under five technical control themes:
- secure configuration
- user access control
- malware protection
- patch management
Cyber security is an ongoing threat to businesses across the world. We’re proud to demonstrate our commitment to protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our (and our clients’) stored data.
