Christmas Jumper Day

Last week we got in the festive spirit with our annual Christmas Jumper Day! Dressed in their favourite festive attire (which also featured some Santa slippers!), staff submitted snaps of themselves to be put to the virtual vote of their fellow colleagues.

It was a very close competition, but congratulations to winners Nikki and Lauren from our Crawley office, who pipped our Worthing Receptionists to the post by one vote!

Alongside this, we also held a gingerbread competition which featured some very impressive entries. Well done to Polly who won with her log cabin gingerbread house and Lisa’s daughter who made a very creative cottage scene which came a close second!

We managed to raise an amazing £228 on the day, through a combination of entry to the competitions and raffle. So a big thank you and well done to all staff who participated and donated.

Giving back this Christmas

The day enabled us to raise some much-needed funds for the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation (CBCF) which has been supporting charities and organisations in our local area for twelve years.

For Christmas this year, and in lieu of paper cards, the CBCF are delighted to have made a donation of £300 to Grassroots Suicide Prevention. This has been doubled to £600 through their Big Give Christmas Challenge and helps to support the vital work they do in suicide prevention through training and their StayAlive app.

In addition, every day last week on social media we highlighted various social causes and offered suggestions on actions you can take this festive period:

  • Day 1: Homelessness
  • Day 2: Sustainability
  • Day 3: Loneliness
  • Day 4: Vegetarianism and Veganism
  • Day 5: Mental Health

You can read our posts on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook (be sure to like or follow us so you can see future updates!).

We hope you have a wonderful festive break and we look forward to catching up in 2022!
