Carpenter Box Promotions: April 2024
This April, we have seen a number of staff being recognised for their hard work and dedication to delivering quality work to our clients. We are proud to announce the latest round of promotions at Carpenter Box, including; two directors, one associate, five senior managers, two managers and six Assistant Managers!
Meet our newly promoted Directors and Associate
We are excited to share that we have new director promotions, both for Carpenter Box and our independent Financial Advisory team Carpenter Box Financial Advisers.

For Carpenter Box Financial Advisers, Gill Lynes is now the Director of the Later Life service team. With over 30 years experience, Gill focuses on financial planning solutions for later life, assisting elderly clients and their families with complex issues like care fee planning and inheritance tax mitigation. She is an associate of the Society for Later Life Advisers (SOLLA), an organisation that upholds the highest standards of professionalism in financial advice with Accredited Advisers.
Nikki Martin, the newly appointed Associate at within the Carpenter Box tax department, has made a big impact since joining in 2021. Nikki advises individuals on matters of personal tax residency, domicile, Inheritance Tax planning and use of family trusts. She is also a key member of the international services group, focusing on individuals and family wealth clients with an international angle.
Our newest senior leaders
This April also saw a talented group of rising stars progress further in the business, with five new Senior Managers:
For our Audit team, Alaina Cryer and Joanne Chidwick have been promoted to Senior Managers. Both Alaina and Joanne specialise in the manufacturing and retail sectors. The pair manage a portfolio of clients and support the audit training teams across our Worthing and Crawley offices.
Our tax team has grown stronger with Katie Trevallion, Dean Reynolds, and Meghan Clark also stepping into Senior Manager roles. With over 20 years of experience, Dean specialises in personal tax and estate planning. Katie is involved with our tax transaction team, advising on corporate transactions, reorganisation as well as employee ownership trusts. Meghan is also part of the tax transaction team but specialises in international tax, providing tailored corporate tax advice including advising on international tax planning.
Advancing to Manager
The managerial ranks have also expanded, with Jack Butcher stepping up within our StarBox team. Jack works a diverse range of creators across social media platforms and helping them grow with their businesses.
New Assistant Managers
Last but certainly not least, we have six talented new assistant managers.
James Laker joined our Practice Support Group (PSG) as an IT specialist to ensure our systems operate efficiently and securely. James now assists the IT Director and manages IT operations, oversees IT projects, aids in new software and hardware implementation, and provides technical support to staff.
Within the Audit Department, Charlie Holdaway and Sharna Challenger now support the team in conducting audits and providing advisory services to ensure client compliance with financial regulations. They also play key roles in developing audit plans, reviewing financial documents, and guiding junior staff through complex audit processes.
In our Tax Services Group, Clare Martin, Karly Charrington, and Azka Khurshid support the managers with overseeing the preparation and filing of tax returns, providing strategic tax planning advice to clients.
