Quiztastic night for Queen Alexandra Hospital Home!

QAHH logoLast week the annual charity quiz night took place at the Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH) in Worthing – a specialist not for profit organisation which provides residential and respite care for ex-Servicemen and Women. Carpenter Box Partner, Chris Coopey, once again played the role of ‘Quiz Master’ with help from his two ‘Quiz Markers’, Sarah and Rachael.

Over 100 people from the local community formed 17 teams to answer ten rounds of tough questions – ranging from Current Events, Movies and the all-important ‘Family Fortunes’ game changer round. After a close few rounds, a team from local business HD Tribe won with an impressive 120 points, taking home a trophy and their prize of a VIP night out at Gala Bingo.

The evening was a resounding success, raising a remarkable grand total of over £1800 through a combination of the quiz entry fee, raffle and bar takings. All money will be used to directly fund the nursing care and rehabilitation that QAHH provides to their residents.

Event organiser, Samantha Stokes from QAHH, said, “From everyone here at The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home, I’d like to thank Chris Coopey and his team for putting on such a fun and lively quiz night for us. And thank you to everyone who came and took part and helped us raise this tremendous amount of money for our residents’ care and rehabilitation.”

Carpenter Box would also like to extend our thanks to everyone who organised and took part in an enjoyable and successful evening!
