September 100-year Fundraising

As Carpenter Box marks a remarkable 100 years in the business, we find ourselves not just looking back at our rich history but also toward the future. To celebrate our centenary, every department within Carpenter Box has been allocated a specific month to organise activities aimed at fundraising for the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation. In September, it was the turn of the Sustainability Working Group, a driven and passionate community that highlights our dedication to making a positive impact on the world.

Our commitment to sustainability has been a cornerstone of our journey, and our Sustainability Working Group is at the forefront of these efforts.

What does the Sustainability Working Group Do?

Firstly, this dedicated team are the driving force behind our sustainability initiatives at Carpenter Box. They tirelessly work to integrate sustainable practices into our day-to-day operations and nurture a culture of environmental consciousness among our staff and clients.

From reducing our carbon footprint to promoting eco-friendly practices, this group embodies our commitment to corporate responsibility. They organise events, initiatives, and campaigns that promote sustainability both within and outside our organisation.

September Fundraising Efforts

Before we dive into September’s fundraising efforts, let’s take a moment to appreciate what our Sustainability Working Group accomplished in September. Their creativity and dedication were on full display with a range of exciting activities:

Book Swap

Books are a timeless source of knowledge and enjoyment. As a result, the Sustainability Working Group organised a book swap, allowing our team members to exchange their favourite reads and reduce paper waste.

Vegan Ice Cream

Who can resist the allure of a refreshing vegan ice cream on a warm summer day? On a hot sunny day in September, our Sustainability Working Group treated all our staff to a delightful vegan ice cream, in return for a donation, spreading joy while encouraging sustainable eating habits.

Plant Sale

Greenery breathes life into our surroundings, both literally and figuratively. The plant sale event not only added a touch of nature to our offices but also contributed to a greener environment.

Bargain Box

Finally, one person’s unwanted item is another’s treasure. The ‘bargain box’ allowed our staff to sell items they no longer needed and discover pre-loved bargains, promoting a culture of reuse and recycling.

How much did they raise?

Our sincerest thanks go out to the passionate individuals who are a part of the Sustainability Working Group. Their dedication serves as a true testament to their commitment, showcasing the collective enthusiasm of those who rallied in support of their cause.

Together they raised a grand total of: £161.50 (with Gift Aid).

Let’s applaud the Sustainability Working Group for their fantastic efforts in supporting the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation during this centenary year!

In October, the spotlight will be on the Your Voice working group and their fundraising activities throughout the month.
