Walk in the park for the Charitable Foundation
To celebrate 10 years of the Carpenter Box Charitable Foundation (CBCF), teams of walkers and cyclists took to the South Downs Way on Saturday 1st June.
12 teams each walked one section of the 100-mile route from Winchester through to Eastbourne with MHA Carpenter Box Partners, staff, friends, family (and pets!) all taking part. A group of 10 avid cyclists also completed a 50-mile challenge from Worthing to Billingshurst around to Petworth and Pulborough and through to Devils Dyke.
It was a brilliantly sunny day so everyone came together at the end for a picnic at Devils Dyke to celebrate their achievements.
The aim of the day was to raise awareness of the brilliant work that the CBCF does in the community and help to raise funds to reach the 10th Anniversary target of £25k by the end of the year.
Between the online and cash donations, we managed to raise a fantastic £1750 for the walk and cycle.
Thank you and well done to everyone who took part!
