We welcome our new trainees to MHA Carpenter Box!
Say hello to our new recruits
Last year we had a record number of new trainees joining our Worthing and Gatwick teams, making headlines with our largest ever intake.
We are pleased that this year, despite a global pandemic, we have once again taken on an impressive thirteen new trainees! Eight are studying for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification, while three are choosing to go for the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ACA) qualification. We also have one trainee studying for a qualification in tax with the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) and another trainee taking the route of becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
In Worthing, and working as part of our Business Services team is Chloe Dacombe, Noor Ali, Thomas Redpath, Oakley Evans, Jack Hallums, Dean Backstrom and George Renshaw-Fox. Joining our Audit team, we have Sharna Challenger and Jamie Corps, while Abi Blade and Imogon Peters have been welcomed in to the Tax Services Team.
In Gatwick, Ben Summers has joined Business Services with Harry Smith joining the Audit team.
Prior to joining us at MHA Carpenter Box, eight of our trainees graduated from a variety of Universities: Chloe went to Bournemouth, Noor went to Brunel in London, George and Sharna were at Sussex, Thomas at Swansea, Harry attended Portsmouth and Jamie the University of Northampton.
Others qualified from various Schools and Colleges including: Oakley and Imogen who studied at Chichester College, Dean self studied AAT levels 2 and 3, Jack and Ben studied A-levels at Steyning Grammar and Imberhorne Schools respectively and Abi went to Admiral Lord Nelson School in Portsmouth.
All of the trainees will undertake our comprehensive in-house training programme, which has earned Platinum Status by the ACCA. They will be mentored by a team of qualified and experienced accountants, business advisers and auditors – many of whom started their career at MHA Carpenter Box as trainees themselves!
They will also benefit from knowledge sharing through our national association MHA Training Academy which launched last year. As part of this, trainees across the UK will take part in a national business induction day, establishing the foundations for their career development. Although it is all virtual this year, there are plans for an in-person session in 2021.
Best of luck to our new trainees and a warm welcome from your new colleagues at MHA Carpenter Box!
