Another win for Sussex wine at the WineGB Awards

The annual WineGB medal results were announced last week with 346 medals being awarded to wines produced across the country with 19 of them being from our very own Sussex.

In an unprecedented show of participation, this year’s WineGB awards saw entries reach an all-time high. The breadth and depth of competition were truly remarkable, with a record number of both first-time entrants and seasoned competitors from across the country. Reflecting the exceptional quality of submissions, a total of 48 Gold, 145 Silver, and 120 Bronze medals were awarded, spanning both still and sparkling wines. It’s a testament to the thriving wine industry in our nation. In particular, this is a big win for all local vineyards

The judges deliberated 346 entries over 3 days at the beautiful Exton Park in Hampshire. The judging panel comprised of:

  • WineGB co-Chairs Susie Barrie MW and Oz Clarke MBE
  • Imogen Bowen-Davies, Buyer, Waitrose & Partners
  • Nik Darlington, Marketing Director, Graft Wine Company
  • Simon Field MW, Consultant & author
