David Bashford

David joined Carpenter Box as an IT Administrator in 2006 after spotting an advert in the local newspaper. He was promoted 8 months later when the IT Manager retired and David took over full responsibility for IT support.

Now working as the IT Director, David’s primary responsibility is to maintain the IT infrastructure at Carpenter Box, making sure staff are able to utilise their time effectively. This involves day to day operational requirements as well as looking at future strategies and technologies. David also has a keen interest in software development including our client Portal.

Outside the office

David likes to unwind by playing drums, gaming and entertaining his dog Pixel the Pug. David also holds a black belt in Judo; however he hasn’t ever found a use for these skills within the world of IT!
