Carpenter Box Promotions: January 2025

This January, we celebrated well-deserved promotions at Carpenter Box, recognising our team’s hard work and dedication to client service. The promotions include two partners, one director, five senior managers, three managers, and eight assistant managers.

Two new Partners and a director

We proudly announce the promotion of two new partners and one director, highlighting the growth and excellence at Carpenter Box and StarBox, our service for the creative, media, and IT sectors.

Kristina Perry joins the Partnership Group with a wealth of expertise in Audit and Assurance. Since joining Carpenter Box in 2012 as a trainee and qualifying in 2015, Kristina now leads an internal team providing technical knowledge across the firm’s accounting and audit functions.

She also manages a diverse portfolio of clients, with particular expertise in the retail, charity, and academy sectors. Her dedication to delivering exceptional client service and technical excellence has been central to her success.

Nick Tebb will also become a Partner, having joined Carpenter Box as a trainee in 2014 after earning a first-class degree in Accounting and Finance. Nick later joined StarBox, Carpenter Box’s creative and media offering; providing accountancy and business advice services for digital entrepreneurs, app developers, online content creators, gamers and streamers.

Nick supports clients in sectors such as new media, property, and owner-managed businesses. He is highly experienced in streamlining accounting systems, driving efficiency and innovation for clients.

Additionally, Raymond Cheung has been promoted to Client Service Director, having joined Carpenter Box in 2018. With a degree in International Finance from the University of Brighton and a Master’s in Management from Surrey University, Raymond leads our Outsourced Finance Function offering within Carpenter Box.

He helps businesses of all sizes streamline their operations by outsourcing key elements of their finance departments to our expert team.

Our newest senior managers

This January also saw several accomplished individuals advance within the firm, including five new Senior Managers across various departments:

From our Business Services Group, Lauren Jemmett and Tabitha Nicholls have been promoted to Senior Managers. Both Lauren and Tabitha manage a portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses, assisting with their regular compliance work and offering day-to-day business advice.

Within StarBox, Katie Sanders has stepped into a senior management role. Katie works with a diverse range of SMEs, delivering tax and accounting advice to clients in the creative, media and entertainment sectors.

In our Audit and Assurance team, Ruth Troughton has taken on a senior management position. Ruth specialises in the not-for-profit, retail and financial services sectors and manages a portfolio of clients providing them accounts, audit, tax and other advisory services.

Within our Practice Support Group, Rachael Tayler has become a Senior Marketing Manager. Rachael joined the firm as a Marketing Assistant in 2014, after graduating from Bournemouth University and has risen through the ranks, gaining over 10 years of marketing experience in financial services. She oversees the firm’s marketing campaigns, specialising in events, sponsorships, branding and design.

Advancing to manager

The managerial ranks have also expanded, with Matt Lay stepped up into a managerial role in our award-winning tax team, with specialisms in VAT, Corporation Tax, Employment Taxes and Investor Reliefs.

In the Audit and Assurance team, Jennifer Sexton has also taken the role of Manager. Jennifer specialises in the Academy, Manufacturing, Retail and Financial Services sectors.

Deaglan Johnson from the Business Services Group also now supports the corporate team in a managerial role, bringing extensive experience supporting SMEs with compliance matters and providing tailored guidance for businesses operations.

New assistant managers

Last but certainly not least, we have eight talented new assistant managers.

Within the Business Services Department, Thomas Redpath, Jack Searle, Dean Backstrom, Alex Williams, Michael Davis and Ben Summers have been promoted to assistant manager level. They support clients with their digital, outsourced finance, financial reporting and compliance requirements as well as helping to develop junior members of staff.

Rosie Neal has been promoted to Marketing Executive in our Practice Support Group (PSG). Rosie joined in 2022 as a Marketing Assistant to support the firm with external events, design, and internal communications across our 6 offices. Rosie now coordinates events, newsletters and supports with social media and video output.

In our Audit and Assurance team, Arran Osborne now supports the team in conducting audits and providing advisory services to ensure client compliance with financial regulations.
