Amreek Singh-Digpal

Amreek began his career in the accountancy profession as a trainee with a small firm in Portsmouth in 1976, later moving to a larger firm in Fareham in 1980. With 50 years of experience, Amreek is qualified by experience and has built a comprehensive background in the profession.

Over the years, Amreek has worked across a wide range of areas including medium-sized audits, small company accounts, solicitors’ accounts, corporation tax, personal tax, management accounting services, VAT compliance, partnership tax, and Solicitors Regulation Authority compliance work. He has always maintained a strong focus on client care and support.

At Carpenter Box, Amreek manages a personal portfolio of small companies and individual clients, handling all aspects of accounting, corporation tax, personal tax, and VAT compliance. He also maintains involvement with several small and medium-sized audit clients, acting as service manager and the key contact between clients and audit teams. Clients range from sole traders and professional consultants to wholesale distributors, engineering firms, funeral directors, estate agents, solicitors, and even a district judge.

Out of Office

Outside of work, Amreek is a dedicated Pompey supporter (mainly home games), enjoys visiting the gym, and spends time with his grandchildren. He also serves as President of the local Sikh Community, a role that occupies much of the weekend, and is actively involved at national level with the Council of Sikh Gurdwaras (Temples). Amreek tries to visit India at least once a year.

Amreek took a break from the profession (1997 to 2002) and purchased a small chain of pharmacies with a pharmacist friend. It was a great 7 year adventure and extremely hard work. He and his friend owned one of the largest independent retail pharmacies in England – their flagship branch.
