David Rainford
David qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) at a private equity backed firm, based in Brighton. Having worked there for eight years, David then joined Carpenter Box in 2024 as a Tax Manager in Brighton and Worthing.
David works as part of the Tax Advisory team, providing support for colleagues across the firm. He aims to give straightforward, practical tax advice and always considers the big picture. He believes that understanding each person’s different motivations is key to finding the most appropriate solution for them.
Outside the office
David tries to keep fit running on the Brighton seafront or over the South Downs. He also gardens, makes a mess of DIY, and goes dog walking.
When sitting still, David likes to read, watch TV, or play video games. He enjoys good food, cocktails, and craft beer.
