Carpenter Box Promotions: July 2025
This July, we celebrated well-deserved promotions across Carpenter Box, recognising our team’s hard work and dedication to client service. Our latest promotions include four new Partners, three Associate Directors, three Managers and three Assistant Managers.
New Board members
We are delighted to announce that four of our senior colleagues will be joining the Board as Partners, highlighting the growth and excellence at Carpenter Box and StarBox, our service for the creative, media, and IT sectors.
Alex Chidwick has joined the Board within our Audit and Assurance team. Alex joined Carpenter Box in 2011 where he trained as a Chartered Certified Accountant. He qualified in 2015 and is responsible for a portfolio of clients across the healthcare, leisure and hospitality, retail, manufacturing, construction, and media sectors, providing clients with accountancy, audit, and advisory services.
Also joining the Board is Paula Nurse. Paula works in our Business Services Team and looks after the day-to-day accounting and tax needs for small limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. She deals with a number of start-ups and works closely with our digital team in ensuring our clients are up to date with cloud software.
Mark Northam at StarBox has also joined the Board. Mark has always had a passion for gaming and a keen interest in the new media space. He re-joined Carpenter Box in 2021 to help grow and bolster the StarBox team, combining his previous experience both in practice and industry, supporting growing businesses with his knowledge of sector. Mark looks after some of the UK’s most exciting media entrepreneurs such as YouTubers, vloggers and gamers.
Our final new Board member for July is Andrew Neuman, from our Tax Services Group. Andrew specialises in advising both Large Corporates and Owner Managed Businesses as well as leading the Firm’s International Tax services. Andrew has valuable experience in all aspects of taxation most notably, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Corporation Tax and Employment Tax. He is also regularly involved with advising on Corporate Transactions both in terms or Group Reorganisations as well as Mergers and Acquisitions.
New Associate Directors
July also saw several accomplished individuals advance within the firm as Associate Directors across various departments:
From our Business Services Group (Corporate team), Angela Norris has been promoted to Associate Director. Angela trained with Carpenter Box and qualified with ACCA in 2014. She has over 16 years of experience working primarily with owner managed businesses assisting with their regular compliance work and offering day to day business advice.
Within StarBox, David Taylor has been promoted to Associate Director. David qualified with ACCA in 2019 and has amassed over 10 years’ experience, working with a diverse range of SMEs and more recently focussing on the new media sector, such as Twitch, Instagram and YouTube creators.
Finally, Meghan Clark has been made Associate Director in our Tax Services Group. She started at Carpenter Box in 2017 and gained her Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA) and Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualifications. Meghan specialises in international tax, providing bespoke corporate tax advice, including advising on international tax planning.
Welcome to our new Managers
Both Sharna Tregale and Charlie Holdaway have become Managers within out Audit and Assurance team. Sharna joined Carpenter Box in 2020 and has trained and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with the firm in early 2023. Sharna has worked with a variety of clients across different sectors, with a specialism in charities and academies in the not-for-profit sector, carrying out accounts, audit, internal audits and independent examinations. Charlie joined Carpenter Box in December 2018 as an audit junior, and has since passed all his ACCA exams to qualify in September 2022. His specialisms include the automotive, retail and manufacturing sectors.
In our Tax Services Group, Kelly Duncan has also been made a Manager. Kelly specialises in personal taxation, including all aspects of personal tax compliance, trust compliance, ten year charge, capital gains tax, expatriate tax, HMRC S9a enquiries and adhoc consultancy work including IHT and Trusts.
New Assistant Managers
Last but certainly not least, we are delighted to welcome three new assistant managers.
In our Audit and Assurance Group, Harry Gamon and Natasha Gravett provide great value for our clients in a variety of services including statutory or voluntary audits, financial reporting, internal audits, assisting with corporate governance requirements and more.
Finally, Erin Pinhorn has been promoted to Assistant Manager – Admin Services in our Practice Support Group (PSG). Erin joined in 2017 as an Administrator and was made Executive Assistant in 2021. Erin’s work is vital in supporting our Business Services and Audit and Assurance teams.
