Celebrating Pride Month at Carpenter Box 2025

This Pride Month at Carpenter Box, we continued our tradition of celebrating diversity and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community through various initiatives and events that not only uplift our employees but also resonate throughout our community.

Role and impact of the LGBTQIA+ Working Group

The LGBTQIA+ Working Group is crucial in empowering LGBTQIA+ employees at Carpenter Box. It offers them a platform and a secure environment. Through event organisation, resource provision, awareness promotion, and education initiatives, the working group boosts visibility, tackles discrimination, and ensures equal opportunities.

Ultimately, having an LGBTQIA+ working group improves the well-being, satisfaction, and engagement of both staff and clients. Fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can flourish.

Carpenter Box’s Pride sponsorships

For the sixth consecutive year, Carpenter Box proudly committed to sponsoring Worthing Pride, this time with a 2 year sponsorship, underscoring our ongoing dedication to the local LGBTQIA+ community. This sponsorship is part of our broader effort to support inclusivity and provide meaningful engagement with the community, reflecting our core values of celebrating everyone’s individuality.

Pride Month Rounders Tournament

Now in its third year, our annual Pride Rounders tournament has become a much-anticipated highlight of Pride Month celebrations at Carpenter Box. Held after work, on Friday 13th June at Victoria Park, Worthing, this event brought our staff together and saw them placed into different teams by their various departments: StarBox Stallions, TSG Titans, BSG Bulldogs, and AAG Alpacas, competing in a fierce single-elimination format.

The opening match saw the BSG Bulldogs secure a win over the AAG Alpacas, with strong performances in both batting and fielding. The second match was a close contest between the StarBox Stallions and the TSG Titans, with the Stallions progressing to the final by just half a rounder following a tense finish.

In a competitive final, the Bulldogs delivered a composed performance to claim the 2025 title. Special thanks go to Senior Partner Charlie Eve for his enthusiastic bowling and impressive fielding throughout the event. Congratulations also to John Norman, named Player of the Match for his outstanding play — marking the second consecutive year a TSG Titans team member has earned the honour.

The tournament was not just about competition; it was a vibrant celebration of our firm’s commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community, highlighted by the support from our colleagues.

Pride lanyards

Throughout the month of June, we offered staff branded Pride lanyards. These served as a visible symbol of our commitment to inclusivity and diversity in and around the different offices. By wearing these lanyards, employees visibly carried the spirit of Pride within the workplace, reinforcing a culture of acceptance and unity.
